Home/About us/The Concept/ When Tom Brailsford settled in Bulgaria, John Brailsford (who fully understands the intricacies of the English marketplace) found the Bulgarian way to be quite different and yet there was clearly a growing market and substantial demand from would be investors, homeowners and the many looking for a holiday home on the coast and in the mountains. The Bulgarian way of marketing property is quite different to the English, and in many respects quite different due to the period of time the country was frozen in the areas of development and economy by the communist ideals. Only recently have Bulgarians had the opportunity to offer property for sale, to buy land, re-establish rights of ownership which were lost under the communist years, and consequently Estate Agency (Real Estate) is quite different. In many respects the Bulgarian method of sale and purchase is undeveloped by comparison with the sophisticated and complex approach of the English. A method will no doubt develop, with technology, very quickly. Their systems are currently underdeveloped. Bulgaria Property Search is quite unique. One director is based in England, the others in Bulgaria, and linked by family ties and not a reciprocal arrangement between two foreign companies. The Bulgarian family is based in Sofia, the capital, they also have a base in Balchik, just north of Varna, and another in Sinemorets near the Turkish border. The company was originally set up as a property search facility, however due to regular and ever increasing offers from Bulgarian sellers the company has evolved into an estate agency. However if properties aren't available on the website we still offer the same service of property search. |
